About This Experience
A full Western Galilee day with Julia Winery in Mi'ilya, in the heart of the Western Galilee. Itinerary (assuming a 08:30-09:00 departure from Jerusalem): • 10:30-11:00 - Arrive at Samara Vineyard, our 17-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, with wonderful views of the Western Galilee, the Lebanese border and the Mediterranean Sea. We start with coffee and breakfast (local bread, za'atar, labneh, olives, vegetables, etc.), with explanations and a discussion about vine growing - over a glass of Rosé under the oak tree. • ~12:30 - We move to the winery in Mi'ilya for a guided tour and a wide wine tasting alongside cheese plates (~1.5 hours). • ~14:00 - We continue to our new Sauvignon Blanc / Assyrtiko vineyard, Al Ballane, to enjoy the Wadi Al Karn view with a glass of Arak. Duration on site: about 4 hours (12:00-15:00 at the winery portion). Max 20 guests.

Julia Winery is a family-run boutique winery in the western Galilee, founded in 2012 by George Arraf and his son Anan. Their first vineyard, planted in 2009 on a sloped plot between ancient olive trees and oak forests, still grows naturally with no irrigation beyond rainfall. The winery crafts red, white, rosé and orange wines that express the unique Galilee terroir.
